This position will work directly under the Director of Architectural Services for our Framer ID program. Required expertise includes structural and wood framing construction experience for quality control and structural hardware verification. Engineering/Technical Construction Advisor
Quality Built, a nationally recognized and rapidly growing Construction Quality Assurance firm, has an immediate opening for a Technical Advisor. This position will report directly to the Senior Technical Advisor and requires a strong technical background in Construction.

The ideal candidate will have superior knowledge of the Building Industry, Building Codes, & Construction Standards on single family, multi-family and commercial projects. In addition the candidate will have experience interpreting plans, specifications and manufacturer’s installation requirements as well as writing technical documents High-rise experience (in particular Cladding & Fenestration) would be a significant plus.

The Candidate will be responsible for responding to inquiries from field personnel and builder clients concerning construction related matters; drafting construction standards for field personnel and performing research on open related technical issues.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Inspection Services and 3-5 years construction industry experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction project plans and specifications.
• Must posses proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word…)
• Field experience in one or more trades in residential and commercial construction.
