QB Closure Link™ Facilitates Builder Defect Resolution Using Pocket PC Technology

Orlando, Fla., Jan. 11, 2006 — (International Builders’ Show) -Quality Built, the country’s largest independent risk management and quality assurance consultant firm, today announced the introduction of QB Closure Link™ 2.0, a Pocket PC-enabled solution which lets builders electronically review, process and verify correction of items identified as unacceptable on a construction project site by Quality Built Field Representatives. The use of this advanced technology in the field supports a critical piece of any builder’s risk management strategy.

QB Closure Link works in conjunction with Quality Built’s Quality Assurance Site Observations system of capturing and tracking construction defects (known as Open Items) identified by the company’s Field Representatives. QB Closure Link lets builders electronically access Open Item information using their Pocket PC. Builders can then identify the responsible trade contractor, document when a repair has been made, capture digital photos of the corrected item, retain an electronic signature from the responsible trade contractor and electronically approve repairs. The corrected builder data is then uploaded to the Quality Built database to ensure full documentation of quality during the builder’s construction process.

New Functionality
The new release of QB Closure Link allows the customer to self-manage QB Closure Link assignments. The company-designated Builder Administrator can remove old projects and assign users new construction projects without the need for Technical Services involvement. Now the Builder Administrator can manage the process. QB Closure Link will also automatically download any future software updates when they become available during the syncing process. Also, those who use QB Closure Link to monitor others used to have to wait overnight for Open Item closure to be reflected on their device. With the 2.0 release, the moment one user uploads their closure items, the monitoring user can sync and see those changes.
