Olson Homes Earns National Award for Attention to Quality Assurance San Diego , CA —Quality Built®, the country’s largest third-party risk management firm, has honored Olson Homes, a nationally recognized developer of unique residential communities throughout California, with this year’s Vanguard Award for Quality Assurance. Recipients of the Vanguard Award are determined by nominations from Quality Built’s field representatives and coordinators, who document excellent practices throughout the building industry in all regions of the United States. Olson Homes was recognized among 2,000 builders in 28 states for its dedication to the improvement of home building in the following areas:
“Olson Homes is a great example of how to take the homebuilding industry to the next level by delivering homes that are safe, comfortable and durable, said Stan Luhr, CEO and founder of Quality Built. “This award is given each year to only one company, and is selected by our people in the trenches who really know builders.” Luhr noted that the homebuilding industry has taken significant strides in advancing the science of quality and process into an area where few builders had such experience. He added, “I am very proud of Olson’s commitment to deliver excellence, and to constantly push the envelope and break through old fashioned barriers to quality.” Luhr’s firm has achieved nationwide notoriety and international attention for its training and software specifically tailored for production homebuilders and developers. One of seven “Deadly Sins” of construction often touted by Quality Built is Builder Knowledge. Luhr believes builders should be the master of their domain, instead of relying solely upon their specialty trade partners for the knowledge of every component installed in a home. Olson Homes received high marks for their internal development of a unique in-house technical training program they call “Olson University”, where all company processes and training are derived. The other metrics Quality Built pushes for include Design, Communication, Process, Customer Service, Claims and Data. Luhr recognizes builders who can demonstrate proficiency in their processes in each of these categories. “We take our responsibility to our homeowners and their communities very seriously,” said Tony Pauker, regional president of Olson Homes in San Diego. “We have a ‘no construction litigation’ record at our properties and this award further exemplifies our commitment to building the best new home product from start to finish.” Current Olson Home communities now selling throughout San Diego include: “Santa Fe Walk” in Vista, “Legacy Walk” in Southcrest and “Paradise Walk” in National City. Planned Olson developments are “Liberty Walk” near Camp Pendleton in Oceanside and “Bay Vista Walk” in Chula Vista. ### About Olson Homes About Quality Built
